After Care

Aftercare Information

Proper aftercare is essential for safe healing and optimal results.

All clients will receive:
• A printed aftercare guide
• Professional aftercare ointment
• Verbal instructions before leaving

Failure to follow aftercare instructions may affect your healed results and longevity.

Important: Dry Healing Protocol (First 1–3 Days)

For most treatments, I recommend a dry healing method for the first 1–3 days.

What is Dry Healing?

Dry healing means:
• No water on the treated area
• No ointment
• No touching
• No sweating
• No makeup

This allows the skin to begin closing naturally without being over-saturated.

After the initial 1–3 days, you will begin applying a very thin layer of the provided aftercare ointment as instructed.

General Aftercare (All Services)

Applies to:

  • Cosmetic Tattoo (Brows, Lips, Eyeliner, Freckles, Beauty Spot)

  • Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)

  • Non-Laser Removal

  • Plasma Fibroblast (Face & Body)

  • Paramedical Camouflage & Scar Revision

For 7–14 days (or until fully healed):

• No swimming (pool, ocean, spa, sauna)
• No gym or excessive sweating (especially first 3–5 days)
• No sun exposure or tanning
• No facials, laser, peels or active skincare
• No picking, scratching or peeling

Let scabs fall off naturally. Premature removal can cause pigment loss, scarring, or uneven healing.

Cosmetic Tattoo Aftercare

(Brows, Lips, Eyeliner, Freckles, Beauty Spot)

Healing timeline:
• Days 1–3: Dry healing
• Days 4–7: Light flaking may occur
• Colour may appear darker initially
• True colour softens over 7–14 days

Important:
• Apply ointment sparingly after dry healing phase
• Do not over-apply (this can suffocate the skin)
• Avoid retinol, vitamin A, AHAs/BHAs for 2 weeks
• Avoid makeup on treated area until healed

Lips Specific:

• Swelling is normal for 24–48 hours
• Keep lips moisturised after dry phase
• Avoid spicy, salty foods first 48 hours
• Cold sore outbreak is possible even with precautions

Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) Aftercare

First 3 days:
• Keep scalp dry
• No shaving
• No sweating

Days 4–7:
• Light cleansing allowed
• Avoid sun exposure

For 30 days:
• Avoid direct sun
• Use SPF once healed

SMP will appear darker initially and soften over 7–10 days.

Plasma Fibroblast Aftercare (Face & Body)

Plasma fibroblast creates small carbon crusts (“dots”) on the skin that cannot be covered or concealed during the initial healing phase. You will also experience noticeable redness and swelling in the treated area, particularly around the eyes.

As the healing process is visibly apparent, we recommend planning some downtime accordingly — especially if you consider yourself self-conscious or have upcoming social or professional commitments.

These must:
• Stay dry for 24–48 hours
• Fall off naturally (5–10 days)
• Never be picked

Swelling, especially around the eyes, is normal for 2–4. Body tents to take longer then face to heal due to the different skin texture.

Strictly avoid:
• Sun exposure (minimum 6–8 weeks)
• Active skincare
• Makeup until crusts fall off

Hyperpigmentation risk increases with sun exposure. SPF is mandatory once healed.

Skin tightening results develop gradually over 8–12 weeks.

Non-Laser Cosmetic Tattoo Removal Aftercare

• Area may feel warm or swollen
• Light scabbing is expected
• Keep area clean and dry

Do not:
• Pick at scabs
• Apply unapproved creams
• Expose to sun

Pigment may darken before it lightens. Multiple sessions are required.

Paramedical Camouflage & Scar Revision Aftercare

• Keep area clean and dry first 48 hours
• Apply provided ointment sparingly after dry phase
• Avoid tight clothing rubbing the area
• Avoid gym, swimming and sun

Scar tissue heals slower than normal skin.
Multiple sessions are often required for optimal blending.
